CHRISTOPHER THOMAS ERICSON: Monitor Engineer
Christopher has been an Engineer / Producer / Educator for over 22 years. He is a classically trained musician, with a passion for engineering. He began his journey cutting tape from his family’s Sony reel-to-reel tape recorder in his bedroom. Little did he know at the time that this self-exploration was a study of Musique Concrète, the recordings he created would spark his passion for music technology.Through high school Christopher continued his musical studies while recording and performing with artists around the Detroit area in the early 90’s. He produced and performed with artists in Classical, Heavy Metal, and R&B.He graduated from the University of Illinois receiving a degree in Sound Design and Technology. He was hired as Sound Designer for composer / performer Mikel Rouse which carried him on his first year-long tour around the globe.Christopher is a multi-platinum certified Mastering Engineer, a Classical Music Engineer, as well as a highly sought-after Live Sound Engineer.For the last several years, he has produced, managed, and engineered artists such as Kehlani, Ms. Lauryn Hill, G-Eazy, Majid Jordan, Chance the Rapper, Jamila Woods, Lion Babe, and Solange Knowles.
