Dan Tracey began his musical journey in Hartford, CT.The youngest of six kids, Dan coaxed his older, more experienced, brother Dave into giving him drum lessons at an early age. While still in high school, he won the prestigious Berklee College of Music “Outstanding Musicianship” award.
After a long stint on the East coast doing session work and singing/performing with popular bands, Dan moved to Nashville in 1993 to focus more on his passion for writing and producing. In 2010, his song “Everything I Am” was featured on an episode of ABC’s “All My Children” and “Bold & The Beautiful”. He’s also had songs appear in the smash Hillary Duff movie “Material Girls” and reality show “Plain Jane,’ while his song “Kia at its Best” appeared in Kia’s 2012 Super Bowl halftime commercial. Currently he is working on a multitude of projects including a “Parsons-esque” EP titled “Princes & Thieves,” due for release in fall 2014. Also noteworthy, Dan teamed with original Staind drummer Jon Wysocki and award-winning producer Robert Wright to create new (alternative rock) band “Save the World.” The band’s first EP, “Volume One,” is in the recording phase.
